Golden Teacher Spore Syringe

Microscopy Characteristics

Golden Teacher produces spores that are dark purplish-brown to nearly black in deposit. Individual spores are ellipsoid, approximately 8–9 x 5–6 micrometres, with a smooth, thick wall. The spore print pattern is dense and radially symmetrical — one of the easiest strains to study under standard light microscopy. Gill structure is broadly adnate to adnexed with close spacing. Caps are convex to broadly umbonate, golden-yellow to light brown. A single 10cc syringe yields approximately 20–30 microscope slides.
