Spores Worldwide (“we”, “us”), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, operates sporesworldwide.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Who is responsible

What we collect

When you place an order (we offer guest checkout; we don’t create customer accounts):

  • name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number (if provided), and order notes
  • order details (products, amounts) and the payment method you chose
  • your IP address and browser information, recorded with the order by our store software (WooCommerce)

When you pay:

  • Interac E-Transfer (including through Wise): the sender name and transfer details we receive from your bank or Wise.
  • Bitcoin or Ethereum: the sending wallet address and transaction ID. Blockchain transactions are public by nature.

We don’t receive or store card numbers.

When you sign up for our newsletter: your email address (and name, if provided).

When you leave a product review: the name and email you enter, your review, and your IP address (stored by our reviews plugin). Your name and review may be shown publicly; your email and IP address are not.

When you email us: your email address and what you send.

Automatically, when you browse: cookies and similar data described below, and standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) kept by our hosting provider for security and performance.

We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or social-media tracking pixels.

How we use your information

To process, ship and support your order; to communicate with you; to send our newsletter if you subscribed (you can unsubscribe anytime); to publish reviews you submit; to prevent fraud and keep the site secure; to understand which channels bring customers; and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. We use your information only for these purposes, or for others you consent to or that the law permits.

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the store:

Where your information is stored

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada. Information processed in another country is subject to that country’s laws, including lawful access by its authorities.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as needed for tax and accounting obligations. Mailing-list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Reviews stay published until you ask us to remove them. Other information is deleted when no longer needed.

How we protect it

The site uses HTTPS encryption, access to store data is restricted to us, and our providers are expected to protect it appropriately.

Your rights

Everyone: you can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw consent (for example, to unsubscribe), subject to legal limits. Email sporesworldwide@gmail.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

In Canada: if you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

In the United States: depending on your state, you may have additional rights (e.g. to know, delete or correct your information). We don’t sell or share personal information for targeted advertising.

In the EU/UK and elsewhere: depending on where you live, you may also have rights to erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, and to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Age

Our store is for adults 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
